Northeastern wasted no time in putting runs on the board as Brad Czarnowski hit a home run to start the first inning. The Huskies got two more runs in the inning to take a 3-0 lead.
Harvard's Ryan Tsujikawa took over the pitching duties in the second inning, in relief of Matt Self, and held the Huskies to just one hit in the third. The fourth inning
was different story, as Northeastern loaded the bases, setting up a grand slam by Miguel Paquette, to take a 7-0 lead. Harvard freshman Rob Wheeler
came on to get the Crimson of the inning, but not before Northeastern added two more runs to take a 9-0 advantage after the top of the fourth.
After three scoreless innings by NU pitcher Justin Hedrick, the Crimson were able to get on the board in the bottom of the fourth. Harvard's Mark Magersingled singled and then eventually scored on a wild pitch by Hedrick. The Crimson added
four runs in the fifth inning, and another in the sixth when sophomore Nick Seminara singled and then scored on an RBI by Ian Wallace.
Harvard took the lead in the seventh inning when freshman Schuyler Mann singled and then senior Nick Carter sent a two-run homer over the
centerfield fence. But Northeastern tied things up in the eight when a double by Beck scored Carlin.
Harvard then posted five hits and erupted with five runs of its own to take a 15-10 lead heading to the ninth inning. Junior Barry Wahlberg struck out three straight
Northeastern batters to finish the game and earn his second win of the season.
