The Huskies split Sunday's doubleheader with Stony Brook after winning game two by a score of 6-4. Northeastern trailed 4-3 heading into the bottom of the fifth but came back with three runs to take the lead and held on for the win.

The rally began when the Huskies were able to capitalize on some Stony Brook miscues. Miguel Paquette hit a one-out single and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Ben Beck walked to put runners on first and second. Nick Abel then relieved Ray Zimmerman, but was not able to stop NU's momentum as he immediately threw a wild pitch to move the runners to second and third. Jeff Heriot then singled to center field, scoring Paquette and Beck to put the hosts up by one.

Erik Hagstrom was hit by a pitch, putting runners on first and second. Another wild pitch by Abel allowed the runners to advance and when Stony Brook catcher Ed Kull threw the ball into left field, Heriot scored to make it 6-4.

Matt Cavallaro started the game for the Huskies but lasted only two innings. After Cavallaro had control problems, including three hit batsmen, Coach Neil McPhee lifted him in favor of Justin Hedrick, who was able to finish the game, allowing only one run in his five innings.

After taking three of four games from Stony Brook this weekend, Northeastern is tied with Stony Brook for third in the America East standings. NU is now 22-17 overall and 10-10 in conference play this season.
