Connecticut's Rich Sirois (1-1) went six innings, giving up just one hit, striking out four and issuing no walks. Jeff Hourigan went 3-for-4 with three RBI, while Marc Peluso went 2-for-3 with three runs scored.
Northeastern was led by sophomore Chris Emanuele, who went 2-for-4 and scored the Huskies lone run.
