| 2006 Schedule/Results Emanuele selected by Toronto in MLB Amateur Draft
Emanuele, who was taken 780th overall, becomes the fourth Husky to be taken in this year's draft, the most for the school in one season. He follows Adam Ottavino (1st round), Dave Pellegrine (11th round) and Matt Morizio (17th round), who were all taken on the first day of the draft. The Mississauga, Ontario native leaves Northeastern as one of its greatest players. A career .324 hitter, Emanuele set school records in career hits and total bases and single-season hits and hitting streak. This past season, Emanuele batted .313 with nine home runs, 35 RBI and a school-record 19 doubles. In 179 games, he batted .324 with 26 home runs and 118 RBI. He is a former All-America East first team and second team selection.
