NU (18-15, 12-6 CAA) is in sole possesion of third place in the CAA while the Tribe (13-26, 7-17 CAA) are in 10th.
The Huskies opened the scoring in the second inning when senior Chris Emanuele hit a ground-rule double to left-center that scored sophomore Nick DeVito. The hit was the 200th of Emanuele's NU career, just the second Husky to ever crack that mark. He is 15 shy of Kevin Kim's all-time record of 215.
Senior Jeff Maher plated two more runs in the fifth on a single left to give NU a 3-1 lead. Maher has six RBI in his last four games.
In the sixth inning, junior Dan Milano crushed a solo home run to deep left-center, his team-leading sixth of the season.
The Huskies would go on to score five more runs. In all, NU had just seven hits to go with its nine runs, but the Tribe committed two throwing and two fielding errors and their pitchers walked 10 batters.
All the runs came in support of Dabrowiecki (5-1), who allowed just two hits and one run, which came on his own throwing error in the sixth inning, walking two and striking out six.
Freshman Jeff Thomson pitched the final inning for the Huskies and struck out two batters.
Sean Grieve (1-5) took the loss for the Tribe despite allowing just one run in three innings. He did walk six batters.
The Huskies will play in the consolation game of the 17th annual Beanpot Tournament on Tue., April 25 against Massachusetts at Fenway Park at 1 p.m.

Friedman Diamond (Brookline, Mass.)On a rainy Sunday afternoon, the Northeastern baseball team capitalized on four William & Mary errors and got eight solid innings from starter Kris Dabrowiecki to beat the Tribe 9-1 at Friedman Diamond to complete a three-game sweep of the series.
