Huskies defeat Crusaders, 9-2
Dan Zehr pitched six strong innings for the Huskies, allowing two earned runs and striking out six Crusader batters, and improved to 2-2 on the season. Bobby Carrington and Ryan Quigley provided solid relief for Zehr, as they combined for three innings of scoreless relief.
Several key extra-base helped pace the Husky offense. Donaldson got the Huskies on the board in the second with a two-run double. Mike Lyon drove in a run with his second double of the day in the seventh and Anthony DiCesare hit a bases-clearing triple in the eighth inning to help put the game away.
Alex Fox recorded the first extra-base hit of his Husky career with a pinch-hit, RBI ground-rule double in the eighth. Senior captain Tristan Besse also made his first start of the season as the designated hitter and was able to draw three walks in the game.
The win improves the Huskies to 13-9 on the season and drops the Crusaders to 6-15. The Huskies will be back in action on Friday at 6 p.m. when the travel to Winthrop for a three-game, non-conference series.

Friedman Diamond (Boston, MA)The Northeastern University baseball team defeated Holy Cross, 9-2, on Tuesday afternoon at Friedman Diamond. Dan Milano extended his hitting streak to 15 games, just three shy of Chris Emanuele's school-record 18-game hitting streak, and James Donaldson fell just a home run short of hitting for the cycle.
