Huskies sweep Winthrop, Milano ties record
The Husky offense struck early once again as Mike Lyon doubled in the first and was driven home by a Mike Tamsin single up the middle. James Donaldson then put the Huskies up 2-0 with his first home run of the year in the second. The rest of the offensive damage was done in the fourth inning. Mike Tamsin led off with a double, and with one out Donaldson drove Tamsin home with a single. Frank Pesanello then capped the inning off with his seventh home run of the year, a two-run shot to right-center, tying him with Mike Lyon for the team lead.
Trevor Smith got the win to improve to 4-2 on the season as he went 5-2/3 innings, giving up eight hits and two runs. Ryan Quigley pitched two no-hit innings of relief to notch his team-leading fourth save of the season.
The win improves Northeastern to 16-9 on the season and drops the Eagles to 22-18. The Huskies will play next on Tuesday when they face the Massachusetts Minutemen in the Beanpot Tournament at Fraser Field in Lynn, MA.

Winthrop Ballpark (Rock Hill, SC)The Northeastern University baseball team completed a three-game sweep of the Winthrop Eagles with a 5-4 win on Saturday afternoon in Rock Hill, S.C. With a 1-4 showing in the game, captain Dan Milano has now hit safely in 18 straight games, tying Chris Emanuele's Husky record.
