Huskies outdueled by Rams
Dabrowiecki was tremendous in his complete-game effort, allowing just eight hits and two runs, while striking out four Ram hitters, but dropped to 7-4 on the season with the loss. Ram starter Cody Eppley picked up the win and improved to 6-4 on the season after pitching six innings of four-hit, one-run, nine-strikeout ball.
Captain Dan Milano drove in the lone Husky run with a single to right field after Tony DiCesare was hit by a pitch and Mike Lyon roped a single to left-center to lead off the sixth. Milano and fellow captain, Josh Porter, were the only Huskies with multiple hits in the game, each player recording a double and a single in the game, respectively.
The Huskies drop to 23-21 on the season and 11-16 in the CAA. The Rams improve to 32-20 overall and 17-10 in the CAA. Game two of the series is scheduled for Friday at 1 p.m.

Friedman Diamond (Brookline, MA)The Northeastern University baseball team dropped the first game of its final home series of the season, 2-1, against VCU at Friedman Diamond on Thursday afternoon. Husky ace Kris Dabrowiecki pitched his first complete game of his career, but suffered the loss.
