Huskies fall to Rams, 5-4, in ten innings
After being down 4-1 after 6-1/2 innings, the Huskies scored once in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings to send the game into extras before the Rams' Nathan Furry drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the tenth. Tony DiCesare and captains Milano and Josh Porter were the offensive standouts for the Huskies, combining for seven of the Huskies' ten hits and driving in all four runs. DiCesare went 3-6 with a double, RBI and a run scored, Porter was 2-5 with a double and an RBI and Milano went 2-3 with two RBI, two runs scored and the game-tying homer.
Ryan Quigley started the game for the Huskies and was touched for three runs in three innings. Dan Zehr, Bobby Carrington and Sheldon McDonald then combined to give up just two runs over the final seven innings of the game, with Carrington suffering the loss.
The Huskies finish the season at 24-22 overall and 12-17 in the CAA. It is the Huskies' sixth straight winning season and the Huskies have now had a winning record in 18 of head coach Neil McPhee's 22 years with Northeastern. This also marks the first time since 1992 that the Huskies have not reached the post-season under McPhee.

Friedman Diamond (Brookline, MA)Senior captain Dan Milano hit a home run of the left-center field scoreboard in his last career at-bat, sending the Huskies into extra innings against VCU, but the Rams came back to score one run in the tenth and defeated the Huskies in the second game of a doubleheader, 5-4, on Saturday afternoon at Friedman Diamond.
