Huskies win at Boston College, 6-3
James Donaldson led the Huskies with three hits in the game, including two doubles, two RBI and a run scored. Tony DiCesare had a big game as well, going 2-5 with what was the eventual game-winning, two-run homer in the fourth inning. Teddy Zentek and Brendan Stokes each chipped in with a pair of hits for the Huskies as well.
Charly Bashara started for the Huskies and earned the win after throwing the first 5-2/3 innings, improving his season record to 3-1. Dan Zehr was tremendous in relief for NU, tossing the final 3-1/3 innings. He did not allow a hit, gave up just one walk and struck out three on his way to earning his fourth save on the season.
The win moved the Huskies to 23-23-1 on the season, while Boston College fell to 24-25 overall. NU is back home at Friedman Diamond on Tuesday, when it hosts Rhode Island in a doubleheader.
