Huskies fall 10-2 to Rams
Frank Pesanello went 4-4 with a double and a run scored and David Gustafson went 3-3 with a double of his own to lead the Husky offense in the losing effort. Brendan Stokes also had a strong game, finishing 2-3 with a double.
Trevor Smith started for the Huskies and took the loss after lasting just 1-1/3 innings. Bobby Carrington struck out seven in three innings of relief, including the side in order in the fourth, but the outing was marred by a fifth inning grand slam against the senior right-hander. JT Ross followed Carrington and was charged with two runs in 1-2/3 innings before Russ Lloyd came in to toss a scoreless sixth.
The Huskies dropped to 23-24-1 on the season with the loss, while Rhode Island improved to 28-22-1.

Friedman Diamond (Brookline, MA)The Northeastern University baseball team saw its brief three-game winning streak snapped by the University of Rhode Island, taking a 10-2 loss in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday afternoon at Friedman Diamond. In what was a seven-inning contest, the Husky pitching staff struggled with its control, while the Husky lineup struggled to produce runs as it stranded 11 runners in the game.
