Huskies top Bowling Green, 4-1
The Huskies jumped on the board right out of the gate after center fielder Frank Compagnone and designated hitter Mike Tamsin hit back-to-back singles and were driven home on a Mike Lyon double to right center. Third baseman James Donaldson rounded off a three-run opening frame with an RBI single through the left side that scored Lyon from second.
Lyon continued to lead the Husky offense as he drove home second baseman Ryan Maguire with a single through the right side. Maguire and Compagnone were the other Huskies to finish with multiple hits in the game.
The game ended in exciting fashion, as Compagnone layed out in right center to make a diving catch to end the game.
Northeastern improves to 3-2 on the season with the victory, while Bowling Green falls to 1-4. The Huskies have an off-day tomorrow and are back in action at IMG Academies on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with a contest against Western Michigan.

IMG Academies (Bradenton, FL)Junior Dan Zehr threw the first complete game of his career, leading the Northeastern University baseball team to a 4-1 win over Bowling Green on Monday afternoon at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Fla. Zehr was effecient for the entire game, allowing just one walk in the game, throwing 110 pitches.
