2002: Was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 10th round of the Major League draft on June 4...led the Husky offense and defense and was America East first-team All-Conference and a New England All-Star. The Tigers picked him in the 10th round of the Major League draft on June 4...defense was outstanding at the catcher position and he was regarded as one of the top defensive catchers in the region...made only eight errors in 301 chances, threw out 20 of 42 attempted basestealers and picked-off eight runners, including one from every base...called the pitches for the staff that led the conference in earned run average...had a stellar .364 batting average and had 17 stolen bases to lead the team in both categories...on-base percentage of .472, 59 hits and 31 walks also led the team while his 31 RBIs and .543 slugging percentage ranked second...ranks fifth all-time for NU with his 98 walks despite only playing three seasons as a Husky...led the team to wins in their first two games of the America East Tournament; went 1-2 with three walks, a double, an RBI and a run in the 5-1 win over Vermont on May 23 and came back the next day with a 4-5 day against Stony Brook that included a homer, a double, three RBIs and three runs...was named to the All-Tournament team for the second year in a row.

2001: Threw out 26 of 72 (36.1 percent) baserunners attempting to steal...reached base in 18 consecutive games from April 8 to May 5...reached base via a hit or walk in 42 of 50 games played...hit .396 (19-48) with runners in scoring position...total of 16 two-out RBIs led the team...had 13 stolen bases, the highest mark ever in a season for a Husky catcher...made debut at shortstop on April 11 against Albany...played three games at shortstop, and one at third base in addition to his 46 games behind the plate...had 12 multi-RBI games to lead the team...earned All-Tournament honors at the America East Championship after going 6-11, including a 4-4 effort in season-ending loss to Towson.

2000: Threw out 35 percent of baserunners attempting to steal (17 of 48)...hit first career homer against UMass on April 25 at Fenway Park...had bases-clearing, game-ending, three-RBI double in the bottom of the seventh against Delaware on April 23...showed patience at the plate, walking 31 times to tie for the team lead...scored 40 runs on just 44 hits...led NU in triples (four), sacrifices (four) and sac flies (five)...finished strong, hitting .410 (25-61) with two homers, four doubles and a triple in his final 18 games of the season.

High School: Played five sports at Philemon Wright, including baseball, volleyball, basketball, track and football...captained the volleyball team for two seasons...named 1998 Philemon Wright Male Athlete of the Year...played for Canadian Junior National Team in 1998...was a member of the ’98 Provincial Champion Ottawa Nationals.

Personal: Born Dec. 20, 1980...hobbies include weightlifting and volleyball...Class of 2004.
