2007: Hit .259 and led all Husky rookies with five home runs and 33 runs scored to go along with 17 RBI...singled on the first pitch of the game from Josh Beckett in the Huskies’ annual exhibition against the 2007 World Champion Boston Red Sox on March 1...scored three runs and broke a 6-6 tie in the eighth inning with the eventual game-winning, three-run home run in NU’s regular season-opener against Indiana-Purdue on March 3...went 3-5 with a homer and two runs scored at Towson on March 25...had two hits and a pair of runs against Old Dominion on March 31...went 3-8 with a double, three RBI and a stolen base in the Huskies’ doubleheader sweep at Winthrop on April 13...made a tremendous diving catch on the first out of the game in the Huskies 2-0 Beanpot Championship win vs. Boston College at Fenway Park on April 25...homered in his only at-bat in the Huskies’ 17-12 win vs. UMass on May 9...homered in NU’s 6-4 win at Hofstra on May 11.

2006: Redshirt season.

High School: Played three seasons as an outfielder and pitcher at Bellaire High School...captained team for one season...was named team MVP and All-District and was the recipient of the Knoblauch Award in 2005...led team in batting average, home runs and stolen bases his senior season...team was district champion in 2003 and ’05.

Personal: Born April 9, 1987...homered at the Houston Astros’ Minute Maid Park...named one of Collegiate Baseball Weekly’s Top 80 Texas Prospects...sister, Sara, played soccer at Indiana and Maryland...enjoys eating Mexican food...majoring in Physical Therapy...Class of 2011.
