Notes: On the strength of a final minute goal in the first half, and a great team effort on defense, the Huskies were able to upset the No. 1 team in the nation. Freshman goalkeeper Kathleen Madaus came up big on several key chances for the potent offense of Old Dominion, but she had reliable assistance from most of her teammates. Defender Holly Holmberg and midfielder Tori Calio were noticeably strong on defense, each recording multiple steals. Hilary McHugh was a major factor in the game, making continuous stops on defense and clearing the ball out under unrelenting pressure from the Monarchs. It was initially McHugh's shot that sophomore forward Krisanne Duchemin was able to tip past a surprised Jamie Hill for the game's only goal.
