Notes: The rain was as persistent as the defense at Parsons, as only one goal could be scored in the deluge that slowed standard action. The Cardinal defense got a piece of Hilary McHugh's second half penalty corner blast but not enough to prevent it from eluding a sprawling Meg Crowley. Holly Holmberg's assist on the play was the 23rd of her Northeastern career, tying her for 10th all-time on the Husky assist list with Denise Turchi ('91). The shutout is the fifth for rookie goalkeeper Kathleen Madaus, who has rebounded from a tough start to be a stalwart in net. The team has given up just two goals in their last seven games, a stretch has that included matches against field hockey powers Boston College, Connecticut, and Old Dominion.
