Maine has not defeated NU since 1986 and despite a strong effort, still could not record the victory against the streaking Huskies. After starting the season 1-5, Northeastern has been in stride with a 7-1 run, losing only to No. 2 ranked Connecticut. Rookie goalie Kathleen Madaus made nine solid saves in this win and allowed just two goals, the first against her since UConn solved her twice on October 2.
