Notes: Six minutes into the second half, the Huskies had a 3-2 lead at the home field of the top team in the nation. But the Cavaliers stormed back with three goals in less than eight minutes to cement a 5-3 victory. Northeastern gave up several more shots and corners, but managed to keep the Cavaliers close in efforts to get that elusive first win. The last time the Huskies opened a season 0-3 was 1991, but they rebounded that year to finish 12-9-1 and secured a berth in the NCAA tournament.
