Notes:
After opening the season with four ranked opponents on the road, Northeastern opened its home field hockey schedule against No. 9 Michigan. Michigan backed their ranking with defense, limiting Northeastern to just eight shots to take home a 4-1 victory. NU's Heidi Benson tied the game early with her third goal of the season, a beautiful individual effort along the goalline. But just four minutes later, Michigan's Lindsay Babbitt put the Wolverines ahead to stay when she tipped in a shot from teammate Catherine Foreman. Northeastern falls to 1-4-0 on the season with America East action commencing tomorrow when UNH visits Parsons Field.
