Notes: In their first game in defense of their fourth America East title, the Huskies fell to conference rival UNH in a thrilling overtime game at Parsons field. A calm first half marked only by junior Jackie Carl's conversion of a penalty stroke gave way to a run-and-gun second half that forced UNH goalkeeper Amy Agulay to make 11 saves. With a 2-1 lead late in the second half, Husky forward Karrie Danilecki missed on a penalty stroke attempt that might have sealed an NU victory. With under 10 minutes remaining, UNH's star scorer Becky Craigue converted a beautiful tip pass from Caroline Coyne to send the game into overtime. After one series of point blank stops in overtime at the Husky goalline, NU goalie Jessica Gonynor was simply outmatched on the next UNH rush. From near the corner, Craigue sent a rocket pass to midfielder Jaime Ehret on the far post. Ehret took a falling desperation swipe at the ball to knock it past a sprawling Gonynor. UNH had not beaten Northeastern since 1993, and had been outscored an incredible 21-1 in the six contests since. UNH improves to 5-1 (2-0 America East) while the Huskies continue their frustrating start at 1-5.
