Notes: Despite Hofstra's unintimidating record, Northeastern was not assured of a victory until late in the game. Hofstra's Amanda Mahncke was outstanding in net, stopping 18 shots to keep the Flying Duttchwomen close. But Karrie Danilecki was able to convert an intercepted pass to give the Huskies a comfortable 2-0 lead with six minutes left in the contest. Jackie Carl put the win away with her fifth goal of the seaon, coming off of a late penalty corner. NU freshman stopper Kathleen Madaus needed to make only two saves for her third consecutive shutout.
