America East Rookie of the Year Kathleen Madaus was given an unwelcome return by the host Monarchs, who launched 21 shots her way, beating the sophomore seven times. The defending national champions took no mercy on Northeastern, a team that upset them last season with a remarkable 1-0 victory at Parsons Field. Madaus was one of many heroines in that showing, but today she was no match for Monarch scorers Marina DiGiacomo (3 goals), Julie Miracle (2), and Laura Steadman (2). NU freshman Sarah Broderick provided the only Husky offense with her second goal in as many games.
