The Penn State Nittany Lions jumped on Northeastern goalie Kathleen Madaus for three quick scores early in the game and cruised to a 5-0 victory. Penn State forward Maegan Galie recorded a hat trick. The Huskies' season-opening slump has seen them score just three times in their first four games, while allowing 19 goals against. Last year, Northeastern opened its season with a 1-5 start, but later reeled off 10 consecutive victories en route to the America East Championship game and a bid in the NCAA Tournament.
