A goal and an assist from junior Liz Sarles led the visiting Harvard Crimson to a late 3-2 victory over the host Huskies at Northeastern's Parsons Field Wednesday night. Crimson teammate Kalen Ingram notched the gamewinner with under five minutes left in regulation by firing a hard turnaround shot past startled NU netminder Kathleen Madaus. Madaus had five saves on the night, but was outdueled by her Crimson counterpart, senior Anya Cowan, who stopped nine Northeastern shots. Cowan shut down a total of six NU penalty corner attempts from a unit that scored four direct shot goals in the last game against Drexel. The unit was held off the scoresheet today, but Husky rookie Kim Swistak was credited with the first goal of her collegiate career, giving her team a 2-1 lead early in the second half. However, Harvard struck right back with a goal by Kate Nagle to set up Ingram's winner. Northeastern sophomore midfielder Kelly Williams continued to prove her offensive merit with a skilled goal to open the contest.
