It took a Jackie Carl shot nine minutes into overtime to end a scare in Vermont, where the Huskies were able to escape with a 2-1 win. Carl broke a scoreless tie late in regulation by notching her 12th goal of the season, but Vermont's Sara Mercanti answered immediately to send the contest into an extra frame. Northeastern rounds out its conference record at a respectable 6-2, and now awaits its seeding in the America East Tournament which starts on Nov. 5.
