| 2004 Schedule/Results Northeastern 4, Holy Cross 0
The Huskies dominated Holy Cross on Saturday, taking a 3-0 lead into halftime and scoring once more in the second half to down the Crusaders, 4-0, at Sweeney Field. Both teams were undefeated entering the game, but the Huskies emerged 6-0 while Holy Cross fell to 4-1. Four different Huskies netted goals. The Husky defense dominated for the second day in a row, allowing just two shots on goal. Senior goalie Diana Nelson turned both away. NU's offense got a huge boost from eight penalty corners in the first half and six in the second half. Holy Cross had just one penalty corner. "It was a good win. I think Holy Cross is a good team," said Northeastern head coach Cheryl Murtagh. "They are a good passing team and they hit the ball and we took that away. That was huge. "It was great to see us jump out to a 3-0 lead. I'm happy for our defense, that they stepped up that strong. And our attack finished a little bit more than we had been," said Murtagh. Northeastern got on the board just 5:17 into the game when Lauren Edelmeier got one past HC goalie Sony Kuhn right after a penalty corner. Alli Bolster passed the ball to Edelmeier, who netted the goal from the left side. Mari Creatini got her fifth goal of the season off a penalty corner at 11:28 to put the Huskies up 2-0. Liane Dixon shot the ball to Bolster, who stopped it for Creatini to take the shot. The Huskies weren't done, however, as Whitney Shean scored a goal with an assist from Natalie Singelais at 24:38 and Liane Dixon netted a goal unassisted at 55:27. The Huskies are back in action at Sweeney field on Wednesday as they take on Boston College. Holy Cross (4-1) vs. Goals by period 1 2 Tot
