D'Ambra and Webber named to CAA All-Tournament Team Nov. 4, 2007 Boston, MANortheastern University senior midfielders Ashley D'Ambra and Ashley Webber were named to the Colonial Athletic Association Field Hockey All-Tournament Team, the conference announced on Sunday. Both D'Ambra and Webber served as tri-captains for the Huskies this season, their final at Northeastern.
D'Ambra, a Mansfield, Mass., native, has started in every game for Northeastern since 2005 and, after recording four assists in the 2007 season, has totaled 14 career points for Northeastern. D'Ambra had two assists in the Huskies' quarterfinal match against Towson on Thursday, helping the team reach the league semifinals. She was named to the America East All-Rookie team in 2004 and in 2006 was chosen to be an assistant captain. This season D'Ambra led the Huskies as a tri-captain.
South Dennis, Mass., native Webber has appeared in all 20 of Northeastern’s games as a tri-captain, leading the team with five assists and registering three goals for 11 total points. In her career at NU, Webber has amassed 24 goals, 16 assists, and 64 points, and has earned such accolades as NFHCA Div. I All-America second team and All-Region first team. As a rookie she was named to the America East All-Rookie Team. Webber was named to the Preseason All-CAA team before the start of the 2007 season.
