Northeastern suffered a 4-1 loss to New Hampshire Sunday at UNH's Memorial Field in Durham, NH. The Huskies drop to 6-5 with the loss.
New Hampshire got on top of the Huskies early, with the Wildcats' Sarah Craigue and Hayley Rausch getting on the board in the first half. UNH's Whitney Frates extended the Wildcat lead to three early in the second half.
Northeastern's Pam Aldridge gave the Huskies some life in the second half when she sent a bouncing shot past UNH goalkeeper Jenna Lehman for her sixth goal of the season. Aldridge tallied a goal in the Huskies' 3-2 win over Stanford friday, and her strike against the Wildcats gives her the team lead in goals through 11 games.
Hopes of a Husky comeback were dashed after Aldridge's goal when Frates sent her second goal fo the game past NU goalkeeper Colleen Duffy.
The Huskies play at Harvard Oct. 8, before resuming conference play with away games at Delaware and Towson Oct. 10 and 12.
