Jones played on all special teams last season and impressed the coaching staff. He hustles, plays motivated and makes big plays. He will challenge for playing time at safety. He could develop into one of the top secondary players in the conference.
2007: Played in 10 games on special teams for the Huskies...made five tackles...returned a blocked punt 26 yards for a touchdown at Rhode Island (Nov. 17).
High School: Played three varsity seasons at St. John’s College High School for Joseph Patterson, seeing time at strong safety and running back...named to the All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference second team as a senior after earning All-WCAC honorable mention laurels as a junior...in 2006, the team recorded an 8-3 overall record and finished the season ranked No. 20 in the state by The Washington Post...took part in the team’s “Play of the Year” after taking a handoff in the backfield and finding Tony Tucker in the end zone for a successful two-point conversion...also a member of the basketball and track teams.
