Frank McArdle begins his fourth season with Northeastern and first as the outside linebackers coach and video coordinator. He served as the special teams coordinator in 2007 and was the tight ends coach from 2005-06. Last season, he coached punter Ron Conway, who produced the fifth-best punting average in NU history. As tight ends coach, he worked with Kendrick Ballantyne, who led the Huskies in receiving in 2006 and went on to earn all-conference second team honors.

A 2004 graduate of James Madison, McArdle was a three-year letterwinner for the Dukes, appearing in 25 games as a member of the linebacking unit and special teams. He was a member of the JMU national championship squad in 2004. On top of his playing career, McArdle spent the spring of 2004 as the team’s assistant strength coach, while doubling as an assistant athletics director and strength coach for his high school, Archbishop Ryan in Philadelphia.

McArdle, 25, received a dual degree from James Madison in Kinesiology and Sports Management.
