A strong physical presence, Rich Parenteau has supplied his services to both the offense and defense during his NU career. Originally a defensive tackle, he moved to the offensive line and then back to defense again for the past two years. As a senior, Parenteau will likely move back to offense and battle for a starting spot at guard, where NU Lineman of the Year Joe Perdoni has graduated. 1999: Played 10 games, starting one at defensive tackle...had four tackles on the year. 1998: Spent all 11 games as a reserve on the defensive line...had only career sack against Lafayette. 1997: Spent year as reserve on both sides of the line. 1996: Redshirt season. High School: Earned three letters in both football and wrestling at Cardinal Gibbons High...a two-way star in football; named honorable mention All-County in 1993 and ’94...second team All-State and third team All-County as senior captain in ’95...led team to three District 4A titles...a standout heavyweight wrestler.
