Sperrazza has seen significant action in the past and has had some success as a starter. With his strong arm and guile, he will once again get the opportunity to earn time on the field.
2007: Played in three games...passed for 152 yards on the season...was 9-for-14 for a team-high 82 yards at Northwestern (Sept. 1).
2006: Led NU with 803 passing yards...completed his one pass attempt at Holy Cross for a 75-yard hookup with Kendrick Ballantyne...completed 17-of-32 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown vs. Delaware...completed 18-of-31 for 175 yards versus New Hampshire...hit Ballantyne on 4th-and-5 with a 20-yard TD pass in overtime, then won the game with a two-point conversion pass to Alex Broomfield...completed both passes in season finale versus Rhode Island, one for a touchdown to Ballantyne...Atlantic 10 All-Academic team.
2005: Completed 17-of-25 passes for 312 yards and three touchdowns against Towson, including a 41-yarder to Cory Parks; earned A-10 Rookie of the Week honors...threw for two TDs in fourth quarter at New Hampshire...connected on 14-of-30 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown vs. Hofstra...Atlantic 10 All-Academic team.
2004: Redshirt season.
High School: Played three years as a quarterback, captaining the team as a senior...named Boston Globe,, Boston Herald, Sun Chronicle and Brockton Enterprise All-Scholastic his senior year...landed a spot on the Massachusetts Super 26 All-State Team...played in the 2004 Shriner’s All-Star Game...honored as Mansfield’s 2003-04 Male Senior Athlete of the Year...led team to a 13-0 record and the Div. 3 state title his junior year...once threw four touchdown passes in a half...also played baseball and basketball.
