| 2007-08 Schedule/Results Janning named CAA Player of the Week
For Janning, this is his second such honor. He was CAA Player of the Week on Jan. 1 after dropping 26 points on Syracuse Dec. 30.
Janning, who is from Watertown, Minn., scored 27 points, 21 of them in the second half of the Huskies' 70-59 win over George Mason last Saturday. Janning, who was 10-for-15 from the field in the game and made six assists, notched his 17th consecutive double digit scoring game and his ninth 20-point game of the season, six of which have come in televised games.
For the week, Janning averaged 20.5 points, 4.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds as the Huskies split a pair of games.
This season, Janning is third in the CAA in scoring at 16.4 points a game. He is the CAA's reigning CAA Rookie of the Year.
Janning and the Huskies finished the regular season 13-16, 9-9 in the CAA. It was the third consecutive season Northeastern has finished with a .500 record or better in the conference, one of only four teams in the CAA to do so. Northeastern has earned the sixth seed in the CAA Tournament and will play No. 11 James Madison this Friday night March 7 at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Va. at 8:30 p.m.
