Carleton University used a 51-point second half to get past the Northeastrn University men's basketball team, 75-47, Thursday night at the Raven's Nest in Ottawa, Ontario.
The loss drops the Huskies to 2-1 in their seven-game exhibition tour in Canada. Matt Janning led Northeastern with 17 points. He was the only Husky in double digits as the team struggled to put points on the board in the second half, going just 7-for-25 (29 percent).
Carleton, which is the defending Ontario University Athletics champion, got 17 points from Stuart Turnball to lead the way. The team shot 65 percent in the second half, which included a 12-0 run to start the period. That gave Carleton a 36-27 lead and built it from there.
The Huskies look to rebound Friday night when they meet Algonquin University at 7 p.m.
