Senior Jose Juan Barea has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week along with senior John Goldsberry of the University of North Carolina Wilmington as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Barea led the Huskies to a pair of victories last weekend in the Mohegan Sun Classic hosted by Central Connecticut. In the season opener against Brown, he recorded 22 points and nine assists, followed by a 28 point, 14 assist effort in a comeback victory over Central Connecticut the following night. Trailing by eight points with just over three minutes remaining, the Mayaguez, Puerto Rico native helped spark an 18-6 Husky run with a strong defensive effort and clutch shooting to ignite the Huskies to their first 2-0 start since the 1986-87 season.

The Huskies take the floor Tuesday night at home against Lasell College beginning at 7 p.m. at Solomon Court, then travel to Berkeley, Calif. for the Golden Bear Classic over Thanksgiving weekend.
