James joins John Goldsberry and Beckham Wyrick of league-champion UNC Wilmington and Loren Stokes and Carlos Rivera of runner-up Hofstra on the team.
James averaged 15.3 points per game and set the CAA Tournament record for blocks with 20. He shot 16-for-32 (50 percent) from the floor and averaged 7.7 rebounds for the Huskies. He also set the CAA Tournament game record with nine blocks against James Madison in the opening round. As it currently stands, James will finish as the NCAA’s all-time* leader in single-season shot blocking average, as his 196 blocks is good for 6.53 per game in his 30 games and also ranks second on the NCAA single-season blocks shots chart.
The Huskies await a possible berth in the 40-team NIT, which will be announced on Sunday night.
