James named America East Co-Rookie of the Week

Freshman forward Shawn James was named America East Co-Rookie of the Week for his record-setting performance Saturday against Harvard, the conference office announced Monday, Nov. 29.

James was phenomenal against the Crimson in his collegiate debut, scoring 18 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and swatting a school-record seven shots. He broke the previous record of six, set by Changa Adams against Vermont on Jan. 24, 1999.

The 6'9 Brooklyn native was 7-of-10 from the floor, including 1-of-2 from three-point range, in 28 minutes of action.

Northeastern (1-2) faces Massachusetts on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. in Amherst, Mass.
