Northeastern rowers Ted Sobolewski and Pat Sullivan as well as freshman coach John Lindberg have been selected to represent the United States at the 2007 FISA World Rowing Under 23 Championship July 26-29 in Strathclyde, Scotland.

Sobolewski and Sullivan will row in the men’s quadruple sculls and Lindberg will coach that squad. It is the second year in a row the two NU juniors have been selected to the team. Sobolewski and Sullivan helped the NU men’s crew team finish the 2007 season ranked 9th in the nation according to the final team point standings from the IRA Championship. The NU varsity eight finished the regular season with a 2-3 record, took 10th at the Eastern Sprints and placed 11th at the IRA Championship.

Sullivan, a Hingham Mass. native, took silver in the men’s four with coxswain at the 2005 FISA World Championship. Sobolewski, who is from Buffalo, NY, won silver in the men’s junior eight at the 2003 USRowing National Championship.
