Two Huskies to compete at World Championship

Dan Walsh, who helped power Northeastern to bronze medals at the 2001 Eastern Sprints, will stroke the United States oared entry at the World Rowing Championship in Munich, Germany scheduled for Aug. 26-Sept. 2.

Walsh rowed for the Huskies from 1999-2001 and was voted team MVP in 1999 and 2001. This is Walsh’s seventh year on the national team. Last year he rowed six in the eight that won bronze at the World’s.

Marshall Godschalk, who as a senior stroked this year's Husky eight, will stroke the Dutch lightweight eight at the World’s. It is his second year in that boat.

Other former Huskies that will be participating include Petar Lovric (Croatia), Chris Jarvis (Canada) and Shane O'mara (USA).
