Matt Nareski is in his third season as Equipment Manager for the Northeastern men’s and women’s hockey teams. He handles all of the Huskies’ equipment needs and coordinates travel logistics for men’s hockey.
Nareski joined the Northeastern hockey program after four seasons with the USA Hockey National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Mich., where he held the same role. Nareski was a member of the staff that helped Team USA earn a Gold Medal at the 2005 Under-18 World Championship in the Czech Republic. In addition to his day-to-day duties, Nareski developed an organizational system for the transport of equipment on a rigorous 27-game road schedule against different college hockey opponents. He also helped run the program’s two-week summer camp.
Before working in Ann Arbor, Nareski served as an equipment manager for Eastern Michigan, overseeing fitting, ordering and transport of equipment for EMU’S 21 teams and managing a staff of 12. He also worked for the Miami Dolphins in 1999.
Nareski earned a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and Film from Eastern Michigan in 2000. He resides in Wenham with his wife, Linda, and son, Gavin.
