Junior forward Michael Cipriano scored less than four minutes into the first overtime period to give the Northeastern men's soccer team a 1-0 win over Dartmouth in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon in Hanover, N.H.
Sophomore Jeff Gannon set the goal up with a through pass to Cipriano, who finished it off at the 93:29 mark for his fourth goal of the season.
Northeastern improves to 8-6-3 overall with the win and stand at 4-3-1 in the America East, while Dartmouth drops to 4-7-2 and remains at 0-4-0 in Ivy League play. The Big Green outshot NU, 18-10, in the match. Sophomore Sergio Saccoccio posted four saves for NU on the way to his sixth shutout of the season. Dartmouth goalkeeper Rowan Anders recorded three saves in the losing effort.
The Huskies return to the field for their final regular season game on Saturday when they host host Albany at 1 p.m. on Parsons Field.
