The Huskies picked up their first conference loss of the season to America East rival Hartford, 1-0, on Thursday night at Al-Marzook Field in West Hartford, Conn.
After a scoreless first half, sophomore Eitan Arbel scored the game-winning goal on a touch pass from Alon Lubezky off a free kick from 18 yards out at 58:47.
Northeastern outshot the Hawks, 15-13, but could not get a shot past goalkeeper Ryan Carr, who made five saves to record the shutout. NU Goalkeer Sergio Saccoccio posted three saves in the loss.
The Huskies drop to 3-4-1 overall and 1-1-0 in conference play, while Hartford improves to 5-3-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference. Northeastern returns to action on Sunday when they host America East rival UMBC at 1 p.m.
