Northeastern (2-7-4) lost its second game in a row Saturday afternoon at Parsons Field, falling to crosstown rival BU (6-6-1), 2-0. Senior keeper Sergio Saccoccio made three saves.
The Terriers jumped on top when NU was called for a foul in the box, which led to junior midfielder Jamie Johnson's free kick. Johnson rifled the shot to the right side for his third goal of the season.
BU's Sedrick Chin scored in the 81st minute when he juked around an NU defensemen and shot a low ball to the left of Saccoccio. Roland Erlichman was credited with the assist.
Terrier goalkeeper Chad Comroe saved two shots to record his third shutout of the season.
The Huskies were outshot by Boston University. 8-5. The game included 28 combined fouls, with BU committing 17 and NU drawing 11.
NU heads to Baltimore to take on the UMBC Retrievers on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004 at 1 p.m.
