Junior Ryan Miling and sophomore Andy Cazeau have been named captains for the 2008 cross country season. Miling placed 63rd in the CAA Championship in cross country in 2007 and ran a season-best 800 time of 1:57.62 at the CAA outdoor meet last spring. Cazeau showed remarkable improvement in cross country as a freshman, leading NU with a 29th-place finish and a time of 25:57.4 at the CAA Championship in 2007. The Huskies open the season Sept. 6 at Central Connecticut State.

Cross country schedule released
The 2008 cross country schedule has been released. The Huskies start off the 2008 season at the Blue Devil Invitational at Central Connecticut State University on Sept. 6. The George Mason Invitational, which takes place Oct. 4 will serve as a preview for the CAA Championship which is scheduled for Oct. 31. The Huskies' only home meet will be the New England Championship at Franklin Park on Saturday, October 11.

Li named CoSIDA Academic All-District
Sophomore Adrian Li was named to the District 1
Li named CoSIDA Academic All-District
All-Academic first team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday. Li, a Chemical Engineering major, won the high jump at the CAA Championship, clearing 6'6.75 on April 19 at William & Mary. Li’s season-best high jump was 6’8, which he cleared while winning the Seahawk Invitational at UNC Wilmington.

Li, Reardon compete in NCAA East Regional
Sophomore Adrian Li and senior Ed Reardon competed in the NCAA East Regional Championship May 30-31 at Florida State. Li competed in the high jump on Friday but did not clear the opening height of 6'9. Reardon threw the discus 152'1 to place 19th in that event. Both Li and Reardon won those events at the CAA Championship April 18-19 at William & Mary. The meet concludes the 2008 season for the Huskies.

Three compete in IC4A Championship
Three Huskies competed in the IC4A Championship on Saturday and Sunday in Princeton, N.J. Senior Ed Reardon placed 20th in the discus with a throw of 146'11 and sophomore Jonathan Hall took 24th in the 400 hurdles in a time of 53.69. Sophomore Adrian Li competed in the high jump but didn't clear the opening height.
