Hunter earns All-America honors in shot put
Nate Hunter finished eighth in the shot put at the NCAA Outdoor Championship in Fayetteville, Ark., to earn All-America honors. Hunter made a throw of 60'5.0 after throwing 59'11.75 Wednesday in the preliminaries. Hunter has now earned All-America status in both the indoor and outdoor seasons this year. On top of All-America honors, Hunter also won the New England and IC4A championships indoors and the CAA and New England championships outdoors.

Hunter advances to NCAA Championship
Nate Hunter threw the shot put 60'8.5, good for fifth place at the NCAA East Regional Friday afternoon in Greensboro, N.C. Hunter will advance to his second NCAA Championship appearance this season June 10-13 in Fayetteville, Ark. In other action Friday, Jonathan Hall placed 23rd in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.71. On Saturday, Bamidele Faboyede finished 17th in the hammer with a throw of 181'09, and Jordan Thull did not have a qualifying pole vault.

NU 23rd in IC4A Championship
Northeastern placed 23rd in the IC4A Championship on Saturday and Sunday in Princeton, N.J. The Huskies' top finisher was junior Nate Hunter, who placed second in the shot put with a throw of 61'1.5. Bamidele Faboyede placed fifth in the hammer with a throw of 197'11 and Jonathan Hall took 10th in the 400-meter hurdles in 52.59.

CAA Championship video posted
The Colonial Athletic Association has posted a highlight video for the 2009 CAA Championship at Towson April 17-18. The video includes footage of all five of the Huskies' titles: Nate Hunter (shot put, discus), Bamidele Faboyede (hammer), Jonathan Hall (400-meter hurdles) and Jordan Thull (pole vault). Northeastern finished sixth as a team.

NU seventh at New England's
Northeastern had a pair of champions on Saturday en route to a seventh-place finish at the New England Championship on Friday and Saturday in Amherst, Mass. Jonathan Hall won the 400-meter hurdles and Nate Hunter won the shot put on Saturday. Rhode Island won the meet and host Massachusetts came in second. On Friday, Bamidele Faboyede placed second in the hammer.
