Anderson fouls at NCAA Championship
Anderson qualified for the NCAA Championship with his Northeastern-record shot put throw of 62'6.5 at the IC4A Championship at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston last Sunday. He took second in that meet to Milan Jotanovic of Manhattan College, who placed eighth at the NCAA Championship.
Anderson and the Huskies begin the outdoor season next weekend when they compete in the Ram Invitational at Virginia Commonwealth and the Hurricane Invitational at the University of Miami. Both meets are Friday and Saturday, March 17-18.

Fayetteville, ARSenior Derek Anderson competed in the shot put at the NCAA Championship on Friday in Fayetteville, Ark., but fouled on all three of his throws and didn't record a place. He was seeded ninth in the event. It was his second appearance at an NCAA Championship, after earning All-America honors during the outdoor 2004 season.
