2001-02: Indoors, set the NU record and qualified for NCAA’s with a 7’2.25 leap in the high jump at the Husky Carnival...won the 55 hurdles (7.56), long jump (22’7.25) and high jump (6’11.75) at the BU Open...won the 60 hurdles (8.02), the long jump (23’7.25) and the high jump (7'0) against Harvard...won the 55 hurdles (7.53), the long jump (24’5.75) and took second in the high jump (6’7) at the State University Centers Invitational...took second in the 55 hurdles (7.73) and third in the long jump (22’4.5) at the America East Championship...took third in the 55 hurdles (7.55) and the long jump (23’3.5) at the New England Championship...outdoors, won the 110 hurdles (14.25), high jump (6’9.75) and long jump (24’5) at the America East Championship...won the 110 hurdles (14’.24) and long jump (24’7) at the New England Championship...finished the season by posting a runner-up finish in the long jump (24’9) and took fourth in the 110 hurdles at IC4A’s (14.39).

Klemic sets high jump record
The Sports Information Office recorded Klemic taking his historic leap of 7'2.25 to break the university high jump record as a sophomore at the Husky Carnival at the Reggie Lewis Center on Dec. 1, 2001. Klemic eclipsed the indoor high jump record of 7'0.5 set by Andy Hirsh in the 1989-90 season and the NU overall record of 7'1 set by Kevin Hopkins in 1983. Watch the video here.

2000-01: Won the 55 hurdles (7.77) and high jump (6’8) at his first collegiate meet, the Husky Carnival...Won the high jump (6’8.75), and took second in the 55 hurdles (7.66) at the America East Indoor Championships...At the Outdoor America East Championships, he placed second in the high jump (6’4) and long jump (22’1.5) and took fourth in the 110 hurdles (15.93)...at New England’s, he placed second in the long jump (23’2) and sixth in the 110 hurdles (14.79)...sixth in the 110 hurdles (14.39) at IC4A’s.

High School: Holds the Mainland High record for the high jump and 110 hurdles...went undefeated in the high jump in high school...the high jump champion at the Penn relays, New Jersey state title meet, New Jersey Meet of Champions, and the Nationals...holds the state high jump record (7’4.5).

Personal: Born Aug. 12, 1981...brother Dave is former NU standout in both football and track...enjoys computers and video games...major is undecided...Class of 2005.
