2001-02: Tortorella took 15th in the hammer at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship...Indoors, qualified provisionally for NCAAs with a 639 throw to win against Harvard, also took third in the shot put that day...blew away competition by over 12'0 in the weight throw with a 657 toss at the America East Championship, also took fifth in the shot put...took second in the weight throw at both the New England Championship (617.75) and the highly competitive IC4A Championship (652.75)...outdoors, won the hammer (2011) and discus (1733) at the America East Championship...won the hammer (2090) and took third in the discus (16611) at the New England Championship...took third in the hammer (2082) and ninth in the discus (16110) at the IC4A Championship.
2000-01: Placed second in the shot put (484.75) and weight throw (605.75) at the America East Indoor Championships...won the weight throw (61'0) at the New England Indoor Championships...outdoors, placed second in the hammer (190'), third in the shot put (476.5), and fourth in the discus (1431) at the America East Championship...placed third at New Englands (1862) and fifth at IC4As (1934) in the hammer.
1999-2000: Dominated the weight throw, winning six times during the indoor season...was the runner-up at the America East Championship (6010.75) but took home the crown at the New England Championship (619.75) the following week...placed seventh at the IC4A Championship...started outdoor season with wins in the hammer throw at the Maryland (18410) and Brown invitationals (1855)...again was the runner-up at America East title meet (1962) but won New England crown (1974) the next week...ended season with a fourth-place finish at the IC4A Championships (19811).
