1999-2000 Player of the Year Matt Keating (Hockey/Baseball) Junior Matt Keating was an integral part of both the men's hockey and baseball teams this past season. He was tied for fourth on the men's hockey team with 20 points as he scored 10 goals and 10 assists. Keating's year on the diamond was even more impressive as he was first on the team with 10 stolen bases, second on the team in homers (6), doubles (14), hits (61), runs (42) and RBIs (43) and struck out only 13 times in 178 at bats. With a .343 batting average, he was the only player to start all 49 games for the Huskies and was also named All-Tournament and first team All-Conference. Keating received nearly half of the Player of the Year votes (230 of 463) to win by a landslide.
