Vinny Tortorella (men's track and field): Senior Vinny Tortorella was named All-American both indoors and outdoors. During the indoor season, Tortorella won the weight throw at the Greater Boston Championship, America East Championship, New England Championship, was runner-up at the IC4A Championship and placed seventh in the event at the NCAA Championship. He broke the 28-year-old NU record in that event with his mark of 70'1 at the Greater Boston Championship. During the outdoor season, Tortorella won the hammer throw at the America East Championship, New England Championship, IC4A Championship and placed seventh at the NCAA Championship with a huge personal-best of 217'5.
